Position Overview :

We're on the hunt for an in-house Designer who's as passionate about creating as they are about the fantastical realms of sci-fi and fantasy.

You'll join a team of like-minded creatives dedicated to designing culinary masterpieces that resonate with chefs, collectors, and pop culture enthusiasts alike.

Key Responsibilities :

• Unleash your creativity to design and develop culinary tools that blend functionality with fantasy.
• Utilize your mastery of sketching, CAD, and 3D printing to bring to life ideas that marry culinary arts with beloved pop culture themes.
• Conduct thorough research to ensure that every design resonates with our audience's desires and aligns with manufacturing realities.
• Dive into the world of materials, techniques, and rapid prototyping to create innovative culinary tools.
• Enhance our product storytelling through your graphic design skills, shaping how our brand connects with customers.

Must-Have Qualifications :

• Exceptional sketching skills that communicate ideas clearly and swiftly.
• Proficient in CAD software with the ability to export specific file types
• Familiarity and hands-on experience with 3D printing, machine set-up and operation, as a tool for exploring form and function. .
• Strong research skills that uncover design opportunities in culinary and peripheral categories
• An understanding of mass manufacturing materials, processes, and techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Resilient, curious, and eager to engage in hands-on design work.

Nice-to-Have : These would be an asset in this role :

Familiarity with the culinary category, pop culture, and working with licensed properties.

Functional Needs :

• Graduate of an Industrial Design program
• 2+ years of professional experience
• Based in Toronto, able to work in-office 3 days per week.
• Your own computer and CAD software.
• Availability for weekly video calls with manufacturers.
• Submit a comprehensive portfolio at the time of application.

• Hybrid role. Downtown office 3-days / week
