About the Role
Bethany is seeking a talented clinical educator to support dementia education at the Bethany Calgary site located at 916 18A Street NW.
The position will be located at Bethany Calgary, but may be required to provide support to other sites when required. The position reports to the RAI Program and Education Manager as part of a large clinical education team.
The education team and quality consultants work closely together under the leadership of the Director, Quality, Best Practices and Research.
Position Summary :
Your primary responsibility is to provide orientation for new employees and develop and deliver clinical education to Bethany employees in close collaboration with site leaders.
You will also work with other Bethany Clinical Educators, policy and program leads across Bethany sites in identifying and prioritizing process improvement opportunities and supporting organizational initiatives, such as research and program development.
Qualifications :
As an ideal candidate, you :
- Are a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA).
- Possess post graduate training in Adult Education or related plus three to five years of direct experience as an educator in a clinical environment (preferably with geriatric population with a focus in dementia care).
- A combination of education and experience will also be considered. Master’s degree is preferred. We will also consider applicants who are working towards the completion of his / her Master's degree.
- Experience with eMAR and electronic documentation software (., Point Click Care) are definite assets
- CPR trainer certificate, Supportive Pathways training preferred
- Are proficient with current productivity software, such as Microsoft Office, Power point as well as experience with multimedia applications.
