Technical Lead -.Net Backend

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead, .NET to help scale and support a mature product in a growing, fast-moving company. This role is primarily backend-focused and will work within an established architecture with some ongoing modernization, but no major platform rewrite.

You'll join a small, close-knit, cross-functional team where collaboration, ownership, and pragmatic problem-solving are valued. This is an opportunity to lead by example—writing code, mentoring developers, and partnering closely with product to deliver reliable, high-quality features.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using .NET
• Support and enhance an existing system, following established design patterns and coding standards
• Troubleshoot, fix, and deploy production issues
• Develop and maintain WCF and RESTful web services, Windows services, and data access layers
• Work with LINQ, Entity Framework, SQL Server, and related technologies
• Leverage and support Azure services
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to .NET team members
• Collaborate with Product and other stakeholders to design new features and provide development updates
• Help guide technical decisions to support scalability, stability, and performance

What You Bring

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of .NET development experience, with some technical leadership or mentorship responsibilities
• Strong experience with:
  • .NET Framework (3.5, 4.0, 4.5)
  • WCF, REST APIs, Windows Services
  • LINQ, Entity Framework, SQL Server
  • Azure services
• Experience integrating third-party systems
• Experience working on large or business-critical operational platforms
• Familiarity with Git, Jira, or similar SDLC tools

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience working in smaller teams or scaling products in a growth environment
• Exposure to Angular or modern front-end frameworks (not required; this is a backend role)
