Salary : $20.50- $21.50
CareHawk manufactures life safety systems for education, healthcare, corrections and other vertical markets. Our systems are primarily sold in North America through a group of independent authorized resellers. Our organization is looking for an individual who has experience in the electronic manufacturing industry. This individual should be able to multi-task and adjust quickly to a high paced teamwork environment. Must have knowledge of IPC-610 workmanship solder standards and must know component polarity, color code and value.They should also be receptive to cross training in other areas ofProduction when needed. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to applicable safety results is a condition of employment.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following :
- Hand soldering PCBs
- Use of a soldering iron, hot air gun and other tools as required for assembly
- Depaneling PCBs
- Assembling circuit boards using a combination of through hole and surface mount components
- Prepping hardware and electronic components
- Assembly of interconnect cabling and chassis components
- Fabrication and assembly of mechanical components
- Read and interpret assembly drawing, and Bill of Materials
- Verification of product assembly and documentation
- Inspect work performed by co-workers to ensure the product is assembled to quality standards
- Test parts and products to meet tolerances and product specifications
- General housekeeping including the proper disposal of cleaning supplies and chemicals (i.e. solder, solder paste, flux etc.)
Qualifications :
college diploma in electronics or equivalent experiencetwo or more years experience in related field including SMT part assembly / rework and precision solderingIPC-A-610 or equivalent experienceknowledge of ESD handling procedureswill adhere to "5S" organization and housekeeping requirementsmust be able to perform repetitive tasks and effectively utilize a wide assortment of hand toolsshould demonstrate the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, H&S procedures, manufacturing procedures, and governmentregulations
must be able to communicate effectively through verbal and / or written methods with co-workers and managementneed to have basic math skillsmust be able to solve practical problems, have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written or oral formable to sit or stand for long periods of timeable to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.vision requirements include close vision using a microscope, colour vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability toadjust focus
soldering skills is an assetWorking hours are Monday to Friday 7 : 30am - 4 : 00pm. This position is performed in a traditional manufacturing environment.
