Responsibilities

As an integral support to the project management team, the Associate Project Manager plays a key role in ensuring successful project delivery by :

  • Preparing and distributing meeting agendas and minutes, ensuring all key points are captured.
  • Coordinating and facilitating meetings, following up on action items to ensure tasks are completed.
  • Supporting the design and documentation process, ensuring adherence to project budgets and timelines.
  • Assisting in the creation and documentation of Requests for Proposal (RFPs), including services and FF&E items.
  • Reviewing and documenting RFP bids and proposals, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
  • Conducting research on client recommendations and delivering timely, well-organized results.
  • Assisting with the review of payment requisitions, change orders, and invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and client procedures.
  • Developing and maintaining project budgets, cost control logs, and ensuring real-time updates.
  • Attending construction site visit and documenting with site photos as required.
  • Compiling and presenting project status reports, including executive summaries and open item lists.
  • Identifying potential issues, reporting significant findings to supervisors, and recommending solutions.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring clear communication and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

  • University degree in architecture or engineering or certificate in similar disciplines with relevant experience. Degree in project management or construction management is an asset;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity in support project management of multi-disciplinary projects in the field of building construction;
  • CAPM certification an asset;
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and organized;
  • Proactive and action-oriented;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and sometimes demanding environment requiring prioritization of actions;
  • Proven communication skills;
  • Ability to work in a team environment;
