Job purpose
The incumbent is to lead the Project Management efforts for new product identification globally and development at Taro Canada, originating at the Canada site as well as other sites (e.
g., Sun) destined for the Canadian and US markets. The main area of responsibility is to establish, standardize and implement Project Management processes and infrastructure, as well as support and enhance PM tools.
The expected results would be enabling cost leadership in R&D project development and reduction in R&D cycle time, from selection to launch through application of project management approaches, continuous process improvements initiatives, implementation of Project Management systems and product quality focus working with all stakeholders.
- The position will provide the required focus on managing our projects ensuring : creation of project strategies in line with project priorities and go to market strategies;
- establish timelines and resource requirements; monitor and report project progress; raise alerts to management decision;
ensure availability of tools to manage projects; maintain project budget.
Duties and responsibilities
- Work with PMO globally to implement and standardize project management system and Bl to plan, track and control and report project activities
- Manage project material requirements with Material Management and Vendor Management teams
- Manage activities required for all R&D projects to ensure on time submissions and ensure communication to all stakeholders within these projects
- Manage flow of work between formulation and analytical groups
- Facilitate ad hoc project meetings when issue arise for all projects
- Manage R&D and RA stakeholders to ensure CMC readiness and timely responses to lR / CR
- Support early cooperation between development and manufacturing groups, and facilitate on- time launches
- Help align exhibit batch schedule with PMO priorities
- Manage risk assessment process between R&D and manufacturing for timely new product launch
- Manage lesson's learned processes after project submission aligning between all stakeholder
Qualifications
- BA / BSC in management, industrial engineer, chemistry, or any related field (MBA is an advantage)
- PMP an advantage
- 3-4 years' experience of project management in the pharmaceutical field is an advantage
- Knowledge of project management software and Bl tools
- Knowledge in office applications and mainly advance excel ability to establish objectives and strategies
