Job Overview
The purpose of this request is to acquire a Sr. Specialized IT Consultant who will be responsible for ensuring alignment between the Provincial Client Registry (PCR) and client identifiers associated with Immunization data submitted by the ministry. The Senior Specialist will develop data‑in and data‑out API queries and data alignment activities which will contribute toward the overall Immunization Repository project. Immunization Repository is a cornerstone within MOH’s ‘one immunization record’ priority and is in line with Ontario’s desired immunization future state. This work will be one of the forthcoming projects in the Immunization Repository Optimization Program, a key component of the Public Health Digital Platform (under Clinical Care Service delivery).
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data‑in and data‑out API queries for the Immunization Repository.
- Align client identifiers between the Provincial Client Registry and Immunization data.
- Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to analyze current state and recommend approaches.
- Produce factual, concise deliverables and technical documentation.
- Ensure quality and compliance with SDLC, QA requirements, and release procedures.
- Troubleshoot and remediate data integration issues, including distributed messaging and streaming solutions.
- Contribute to knowledge exchange within the Digital Excellence in Health team.
Must Haves
5+ years experience with IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management Identity Hub Standard Edition (formerly Initiate)5+ years experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)5+ years experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to support data from multiple sources into a single target system5+ years experience with Java developmentExperience with SQL programming in relational databasesStrong knowledge of healthcare systems and immunization workflows within pharmacies, hospitals, and health recordsStrong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Quality Assurance requirements, and software release proceduresExperience with distributed messaging and streaming data solutions (e.g., Kafka)Experience with container‑based development (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)Extensive experience in troubleshooting and remediationNice to Haves
