Our client in the software sector is looking for a Controller to add to their team. The hands-on Controller to lead the controllership function at the Business Unit (BU) level. Responsibilities of the Controller is as follows :
- Lead and own the month-end close and reporting cycle, ensuring timely close processes, reconciliations, reporting, and insightful analysis across all ledgers.
- Manage month-end submissions in alignment with Group timelines and formats.
- Provide technical accounting leadership (IFRS) and guidance to the BU and Group companies.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures in accordance with Group standards.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the business on accounting issues, driving efficiency and adoption of best practices.
- Partner with the Group Technical Accounting and Tax teams to ensure consistent application of policies.
- Oversee statutory filings across all entities, ensuring accuracy and timely filing.
- Manage tax compliance (VAT, GST, Income Taxes, Payroll Taxes), liaising with external advisors as needed and maintaining alignment with the Group Tax team.
- Manage relationships with internal and external auditors, ensuring smooth audit processes through to sign-off and timely remediation of findings.
- Drive working capital performance, build forecasts, and implement actions to optimize cash flow.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles with analysis and inputs to drive informed decision-making.
- Champion financial record-keeping excellence through adoption of technological solutions, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with other BUs and functional teams to continuously improve processes and systems.
- Provide training and coaching to Finance teams across the group companies to strengthen financial acumen and reporting capabilities.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the Finance organization.
- As part of a small, agile Finance team, contribute to broader Finance tasks and initiatives as required, particularly during peak periods or coverage needs.
TMGNY
Professional Accounting Designation : CPA (CA), ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.Strong technical accounting expertise, with in-depth knowledge of IFRS.Experience managing financials across multi-entity, multi-currency Group organizations.Proven track record of success in a Controllership or Senior Finance role.Demonstrated ability to partner with business leaders and influence outcomes.Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, able to engage effectively across all organizational levels.Proficient with ERP / accounting systems — NetSuite experience strongly preferred.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Additional Information :
