Your Impact

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Software Engineering Manager with deep expertise in enterprise software development and modern architectures. In this hands‑on leadership role, you will guide strategy, mentor engineers, and actively contribute to technical decisions—writing code for critical components when needed. You will design and deliver scalable, secure, and high‑performance backend systems that power mission‑critical applications, collaborating closely with architects, product managers, and DevOps teams to lead microservices‑based solutions deployed in containerized environments.

What the Role Offers

• 8–10 years of professional experience in enterprise‑grade software development, with 5+ years leading a team.
• Hands‑on leadership : participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and occasionally write code for critical features or proofs‑of‑concept.
• Oversee design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure services that power our multi‑tenant SaaS application, ensuring services are consumable and monetizable.
• Drive end‑to‑end development lifecycle from concept and design to deployment and ongoing optimization, delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while fostering innovation and process improvement.
• Drive adoption of AI internally to increase productivity, integration into platform architecture, and ensure intelligent, predictive, and automated capabilities.
• Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Operations, Release Management, and cross‑functional teams to ensure effective project delivery.
• Provide technical leadership on cloud‑native technologies, architectural patterns, and best practices to keep the platform modern.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a high‑performing team, facilitating planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and supporting career progression.

Compensation

At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial well‑being. During the hiring process, we provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission opportunities for roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.

Salary Range : $109,830.00 – $159,830.00. Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographic location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the posted range.
