Python developer

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Python Developer (Data Engineering Focus) for a contract position with a client in Toronto, ON (Hybrid). Ideally looking for experience with Python, AI / ML, PySpark , Databricks, AWS, or Snowflake , cloud-based data platforms, ETL, AI / ML, data orchestration tools. Preference would be someone with the required skills and experience, particularly in large organizations.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Python Developer with strong data engineering exposure to build and maintain scalable, secure data pipelines that support analytics and machine‑learning initiatives within a large Data Science environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python and PySpark
• Perform complex data ingestion and transformations at scale
• Prepare clean, reliable datasets for analytics and ML use cases
• Ensure data quality, security, and proper classification
• Collaborate in an Agile environment with Data Scientists, Architects, and Product teams
