Human Resources Generalist

This role is 100% on-site. The Human Resources Generalist will support a wide variety of HR programs including recruitment, employee relations, health and safety and learning and development.

The HR Generalist will also provide guidance to internal stakeholders for employee related issues (i.e. performance management, terminations, etc.

The HR Generalist will also play an active role in on-going projects and reporting. ResponsibilitiesSupport HR programs and services including : full-cycle recruitment, benefits, performance management, employee relations, training and development and health and safety.

Partner with the Director, Human Resources for planning and other HR initiativesPrepare reports and other documentation for WSIB / workers’ comp.

assist with disability management and return-to-work programs Full-cycle recruitment initiatives for internal and external positions (i.

e. : develop job descriptions, strategically post job ads, screen candidates, arrange interviews, conducting employment checks, maintain employee files and liaise with vendors).

Prepare offer letters, employment correspondence and periodic HR management reports (i.e. : recruitment, employee count, health and safety, etc.

Develop, create and maintain HR forms.Update training matrices and HR databases on an ongoing basis. Prepare onboarding packages and coordinator new hire orientation.

Qualifications4+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or Coordinator Diploma or Degree in Human ResourcesExtensive knowledge of employment legislationProven work experience with WSIB and related activities (modified duties, return to work, etc.

General HR knowledge of : employee relations, training and development, performance management, employment related legislation and health and safetyExcellent computer skills with an emphasis on MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Very strong written and oral communication skillsSuperb organization and time management skills with the ability to problem solveAbility to work well with others in a team settingFlexible and adaptable to fast-paced environments with a proven history of taking imitative with a sense of urgency#AB1
