Job Title : Group Controller
Compensation : $150,000 - $200,000 annually
Primary Work Location : Oakville (travel required)

Position Summary :
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Group Controller will have a direct reporting relationship with all dealership Controllers across the AutoIQ Dealership Group. This role is responsible for overseeing all operational accounting functions within the group’s eight dealerships, ensuring financial integrity, accuracy, and compliance.
The Chief Controller will lead day-to-day accounting operations, cash flow management, financial reporting, and internal controls. They will work closely with the dealership Controllers to enhance the overall financial performance, drive operational efficiencies, and maintain rigorous financial discipline.
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Leadership : Provide oversight for all operational accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy and timeliness across all dealerships.
- Team Leadership : Manage and mentor dealership Controllers, ensuring high standards of performance and collaboration across the accounting teams.
- Operational Accounting : Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Cash Flow Management : Ensure effective management of cash flow, liquidity, and working capital across all dealership locations.
- Internal Controls : Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial compliance.
- Reporting : Prepare and present monthly financial statements and reports to the CFO and executive leadership.
- Process Improvement : Drive continuous improvements in accounting processes and financial operations, focusing on efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaboration : Work closely with dealership managers to support planning, control activities, and strategic decision-making.
Required Qualifications :
CPA designation preferred.Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Minimum 5 years of senior financial management experience, ideally within the retail automotive industry.Proven experience managing multiple dealership locations and operational accounting functions.Proficiency in PBS and Reynolds dealership management systems preferred.Strong technical / computer skills, including proficiency in financial reporting software.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with department managers and executives.Valid driver’s licenseWhy Consider AutoIQ?
