THE OPPORTUNITY Triton Environmental Consultants Ltd. ( Triton ) is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced Project Manager to join a well-established team of environmental professionals in our Prince George, BC office.

The successful candidate will primarily support the management of Triton’s oil and gas projects throughout BC, as well as our other projects and project teams as needed.

Our project managers are the cornerstone of our business and are committed to outstanding client service. In this role you will be responsible for managing the on-time and on-budget delivery of projects and providing mentorship to more junior staff.

Our client base ranges from regional clients to multi-national oil & gas companies, to government, First Nations, power management, and transportation firms.

This is a fulltime, permanent position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following : Planning, organizing, and managing a diverse array of projects, people, and tasks Liaising and negotiating with other partners, clients, regulators, contractors, and sub-contractors Establishing and developing client relationships that facilitate successful delivery of projects and the maintenance of future and ongoing opportunities Writing high-quality reports, cost estimates, and proposals Creating project status reports and maintaining project documentation Leading technical teams to ensure the quality, cost, and timeliness of deliverables Contributing specialist expertise to multi-disciplinary projects Providing mentorship and training for our environmental professional team Providing excellent service to existing clients and maintaining those relationships Supporting corporate business development initiatives Ensuring client’s and Triton’s safety standards are maintained or exceeded Promote and maintain a positive work environment through a culture of teamwork and cooperation within the office, region, and between other areas of the organization SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Degree or diploma in a related field (environmental science, biology, agrology, ecology, etc) Knowledge of and experience with environmental standards, and regulations or guidelines and federal and provincial regulations Demonstrated increasing experience in project management (i.

e., budgeting, project tracking, cost-accounting, and scope control) and with the leadership and supervision of project teams Understanding of the regional market and business development opportunities A quick learner, easily adapting to new software applications, systems, and business processes Effective writing skills, and ability to produce meaningful reports and proposals Superbly organized and self-managed, with a collaborative working style Strong problem solver able to address challenges with effective solutions that improve systems and / or relationships, and with the ability to think outside the box Previous experience in the environmental consulting industry, especially oil and gas, is an asset Accreditation or eligibility for accreditation with professional governing body recognized in BC (R.
