Orthopedic Surgeon – Mackenzie Health

Join Mackenzie Health’s Division of Orthopedic Surgery as an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon with a subspecialty in hip and knee arthroplasty, including same‑day joint procedures and robotics.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will work at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital and Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, serving a population of more than half a million people and contributing to the upcoming York University School of Medicine teaching centre opening in 2028.

Responsibilities

• Perform hip and knee arthroplasty procedures, including same‑day joint operations.
• Provide clinical care and surgical expertise within the Orthopedic Surgery division.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient‑centered care.
• Participate in educational activities and mentorship for trainees.
• Maintain clinical documentation, adhering to OHIP fee‑for‑service protocols.

Qualifications

• Medical degree approved by the CPSO with an independent CPSO license.
• Certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
• Post‑graduate training in Orthopedic Surgery and a fellowship in hip and knee arthroplasty.
• CMPA membership or equivalent in good standing.
• Experience with same‑day joint procedures and robotics is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• OHIP fee for service.
• On‑call 1 in 10.
• Existing orthopedic surgeon team of 9.
