Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a Lead Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing Environment team in Ontario. The right candidate can work locally from our Mississauga or Markham, ON offices.

AECOM can provide hybrid work options to give you the flexibility you need to do your best work. This is a full-time position.

The job responsibilities for the position will include but are not limited to :

  • Serves as lead directing engineer on complex infrastructure projects.
  • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for geotechnical assessments.
  • Presents complex technical solutions to external clients.
  • Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
  • Participates in development of technical and business proposals.
  • Provides technical leadership in the areas of infrastructure construction phase projects.
  • Maintains great relationship with clients and contracts by successful project delivery.
  • Serves as program manager.
  • Attends client meetings and coordinate with diverse project teams.
  • Participates in national organizations, as appropriate on behalf of AECOM.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • BA / BS in Civil or Environmental engineering + 8 years of complex infrastructure experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education, including 4 years of leadership.
  • Ability to travel within Canada to visit team locations, client sites and regulatory agencies.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental engineering.
  • P.Eng.
  • 15+ years of progressive engineering and project management experience.
  • Business development and client relationship management experience
  • Experience as a technical contributor on foundations and pavement engineering.
  • Ability to proactively assist in technical efforts and project team staff.
  • Experience on large scale projects.
  • Significant experience working in complex infrastructure projects.
  • Experience and confidence to work independently to produce high quality deliverables on time and on budget.
