Job Description
We are working with a Federal Government client seeking a Systems Tester with experience using and managing packages for Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to join their team for a remote contract.
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases based on project requirements. Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs using appropriate tools.
Execute manual and automated tests on software applications to identify defects and ensure quality. Develop and maintain automation scripts to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
Work closely with the development team to understand code changes and ensure they meet the quality standards. Communicate test results, highlight risks, and provide recommendations for improvement to stakeholders.
Conduct performance testing to ensure the software can handle expected load and stress conditions. Perform security testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure data protection and compliance with security standards.
Analyze test results and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Generate detailed reports on testing activities, defects, and overall quality of the product.
Qualifications and Skills
- 10 years’ experience as a QA Specialist Level 3
- 10 years experience installing packages on workstations, and testing and evaluating the result
- 8 years experience, using and managing packages for Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) / Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) in a Microsoft WAN with many Distribution Point (DP) sites.
- Experience testing software which integrates with Microsoft Active Directory and Active Directory Group Policy Objects for the customization and management of enterprise desktop software.
- Experience using VMware ESX Server and VMware Virtual Center in a testing / lab environment.
- Experience scripting with PowerShell
Education
- Has graduated from a computer science related post-secondary program (two (2) year minimum diploma)
