Macropus is looking for a Software Quality Assurance Tester to work on various projects and across multiple platforms, directly with the development team to ensure that design specifications and functional requirements have been met.

We are looking for a holistic-minded and detail-oriented individual to join the Development team as a QA Analyst . You will play an active role in product development with a particular focus on developing and implementing test plans and collaborating with key members of the development and project management team to see projects through to implementation.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and document software testing plans
• Install software packages to QA and Training environments, configure, set up and review functionality
• Develop and analyze SQL queries and reports to identify data discrepancies
• Install software and hardware and configure operating system software in preparation for testing
• Execute, analyze and document results of software application tests and information and telecommunication systems tests
• Develop and implement software and information system testing policies, procedures and scripts
• Identify, report, track and propose solutions to product defects.
• Ensure that newly implemented system features or enhancements meet user needs
• Ensure that testing activities will achieve high quality software products, meet business requirements and system goals, fulfill end-user requirements and cross-browsing compatibility
• Participate in meetings, walkthrough and presentations of new features as well as changes to existing functionality
• Strong computer skills and comfort level with technology and software release management
• Intermediate to Expert SQL scripting skills
• Working knowledge with Microsoft tools (VS, MTM and TFS), BitBucket, Git or similar DVCS, TeamCity, Jenkins or similar CI systems, Angular JS, jQuery UI jQuery UI jQuery &jQuery UI jQuery UI jQuery UI, Adobe Dreamweaver
• Working knowledge of bug tracking systems such as Jira, BR-Track, Bugzilla

Knowledge of testing mobile native and web applications

Qualifications and Experience :

• 3+ years of software testing, or software development, or IT related experience
• Certification, Degree, or Diploma in computer information systems, computer science, or related fields
• Experience in writing test plan, test scenarios and test cases would be an asset
• Experience with Relational Databases (preferred Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server) and SQL
• Proven experience with Testing Software e.g. JIRA or TFS (bug tracking, analysis)
• Proven experience with SDLC and Testing methodologies
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to exercise sound judgment on testing decisions and tasks
• Ability to work well under moderate supervision
• Ability to work on multiple projects / applications simultaneously
