To be considered for this role ourclient needs you to possess the following attributes :
- Education : Working towards a recognized certificate degree or completion ofAccounting Courses.
- Skills : Experience withMicrosoft® Office applications superior organizational timemanagement and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle a highvolume of work with tight deadlines and keen attention to detail.Excellent communication skills are also required.
Experience withUnity (formerly EsiLaw) is considered an asset.

WHAT YOUWILL DO
You will be an integral part ofthe accounting team critical to the success of the lawyers at thefirm. You will be responsible for :
Trust Accounting :
- Issuing trust cheques and trusttransfers
- Managing trust account transactions(deposits withdrawals) including wire transfers EFTs andcheques
- Managing trust investment accountsincluding creating opening and closing these accounts
- Monitoring all pooled trust accounts and following up onunclaimed deposits
- Monitoring PTT withdrawalsand posting accordingly
- Posting TAF andpreparing quarterly remittances to the Law Society of BC
- Tracking and reporting any trust errors to the LawSociety of BC
- Managing termdeposits
- Preparing CDIC letters
- Ensuring compliance with Law Society Rules and firmpolicies
- Following up with lawyers and staffon any inactive trusts
