Job Description
Role Overview : The Director of Financial and Administrative Management plays a key role in overseeing accounting systems, budgeting, and internal controls.
Reporting directly to the CEO and functionally to the Corporate Controller, the director ensures the integrity of financial transactions and the availability of accurate financial and operational information to guide company decision-making.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial and Budget Management : Responsible for the preparation and oversight of expense and capital budgets, cost control, and financial reporting.
This includes ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Operational Leadership : Leads teams in accounting, finance, and payroll with a focus on fostering a culture of respect, transparency, and high performance.
Sets annual objectives, evaluates staff, and implements performance metrics.
- Risk and Compliance : Develops and maintains internal controls, ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, and enforces workplace policies on discrimination, harassment, and other labor regulations.
- Systems and Processes : Oversees the implementation and maintenance of management information systems to support financial and operational performance monitoring and reporting.
- Strategic Planning : Supports short- and long-term financial planning, collaborating on strategy development to optimize investment, capital management, and financial performance.
Profil
Required Qualifications :
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Director of Finance and Administration or Financial Controller, ideally within medium to large organizations.
- CPA designation or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience in managing the complete accounting cycle, budget management, and cost control.
- Proficiency in integrated management software (ERP systems) is an asset.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
