Job description

What you'll do

The AVP, Finance Operations (C2C - Customer to Cash & Payroll) role reporting into the VP, Finance Operations, will lead the 1) end‑to‑end Customer‑to‑Cash cycle within Finance, ensuring timely and accurate services to customers through order management, billing, receivables and cash applications, and 2) Payroll, Time Management and Expense Reporting Operations, ensuring timely and accurate services to employees. This leader drives process excellence, customer / employee experience improvements, and compliance across operations for all Business Units within Canadian Tire Corporation.

Oversee customer onboarding and maintenance, order management, billing, accounts receivable and cash application.

Drive C2C and Employee lifecycle modernization through automation, workflow tools, and ERP enhancements.

Improve accuracy, cycle times, and settlement predictability.

Strengthen and streamline controls related to customer and employee risk, fraud prevention, tax compliance, and audit readiness.

Develop and execute the Finance Operations strategy aligned to enterprise goals.

Lead transformation initiatives to modernize finance processes, technology, and service delivery.

Provide thought leadership on and drive automation, digitization, and data quality through a continuous improvement mindset.

Oversee, lead and develop teams responsible for daily operations for major finance processes (e.g., P2P, C2C, O2C, R2R).

Implement best‑in‑class policies, internal controls, and service‑level standards.

Monitor KPIs, identify performance gaps, and drive remediation and optimization.

Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including Canadian Tire banners, vendors, banks, and technology partners.

Act as a senior escalation point for operational issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

Build future-ready talent through coaching, engagement, and succession planning.

What you bring :

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, related discipline, or similar career experience required.

10+ years of progressive Shared Service, operations leadership experience within a large, complex organization.

A people and client first mindset to ensure operations deliver high levels of service.

Strong understanding of end-to-end business and finance processes, controls, and shared services environments.

Experience leading automation, ERP transformations, process improvement, and system optimization.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
