Position Responsibilities :
Support engineers carrying out projects requiring geotechnical work : site investigations, foundation and ground improvement, design, and construction, slope stabilization, etc.
Develop geotechnical investigation programs, be involved in the bidding process, evaluate subcontractor submissions, and support Senior Project Engineers.
Preparation of geotechnical and engineering study including the assessment of the bearing capacity of soils for various types of shallow and deep foundations and retaining wall stability.
Evaluation of various geotechnical issues encountered, such as : settlements, liquefaction potential, slope stabilization, interstitial overpressure development, preferential flow, frost heave, excavation, and backfilling procedures, etc.
Thorough supervision and monitoring of boreholes, in situ tests, piezocone soundings, reconnaissance trenches, as well as miscellaneous construction work such as soil embankment construction, subgrade compaction assessment, installation of geosynthetics, etc.
Direct slope stability, settlement, and deformation analyses.
Position Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, Mining or Geotechnical Engineering.
Registered as an EIT or working towards a designation.
Knowledge of the following software’s including GeoStudio, RocScience, PLAXIS, OpenGround, KeyLAB etc.
Compensation
Expected Salary : $73 900 - $92 200.
