CAA Club Group of Companies ( CCG ) is comprised of two automobile clubs, CAA South Central Ontario and CAA Manitoba, providing roadside assistance, travel, insurance, advocacy and savings for over 2.
6 million Members. It also includes the CAA Insurance Company, a property and casualty insurance company; Echelon Insurance (which also includes Orion Travel Insurance), a specialty insurer;
and CCG Advisory Services, offering life and living insurance solutions. CAA Insurance and Orion Travel Insurance products are distributed through CAA Clubs and select brokerages while Echelon Insurance products are distributed through an extensive network of more than 465 brokers across the country.
CCG is part of the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA), a federation of eight independent Clubs across Canada serving over six million members.
CCG has significantly evolved and expanded over the years. With the merger of CAA South Central Ontario with CAA Manitoba in 2016, they became known as CAA Club Group.
The partnership reflected the successful and growing attributes of the organization. CCG’s property and casualty insurance has extended from serving just Ontario to providing a suite of products in many parts of Canada.
In 2019, Echelon Insurance was welcomed into the CCG family. A key player in the specialty insurance market, Echelon’s addition to CCG’s suite of products and services further expanded CCG’s reach and ability to add value to the day-to-day lives of Canadians no matter their stage of life and to many Canadian small and medium businesses.

CCG Board Directors are values-based, business and community leaders from a wide range of private, public and not-for-profit sectors.
They are entrepreneurial, innovative, customer-centric and excited by innovative new products, services and technologies that benefit and ensure the continued safety of their Members.
Each are exceptional business leaders with strong strategic planning, business and risk management acumen to ensure CCG’s future growth and continued transformation.
With business and board backgrounds within retail, financial services including commercial insurance, automotive and technology sectors, among others, they are seasoned directors with an ability to effectively analyze corporate strategies, risks and opportunities in the context of CCG’s business, financial and Member-focused objectives, while meaningfully contributing to the communities they so proudly serve and CCG’s long-term strategic goals.
Potential Board Director candidates must reside in the regions in which CCG provides emergency roadside and Member services.
The CAA Club Group (CCG) organization provides emergency roadside and Member services in all of Manitoba, and the Ontario regions bound by Kingston to the east;
Georgian Bay to the north; Sarnia to the west; and Leamington to the south, excluding the Niagara Region. The insurance companies that are subsidiaries of CCG operate nationally from coast-to-coast.
Competitive Director compensation is aligned to the number of Boards and Committees on which the Director serves and / or leads.
CCG Board Directors have experience leading highly regulated businesses with a strategic mindset and focused on their Members.
Skill sets in enterprise risk management, technology innovation including cyber security, AI and digital, financial and human resource management including managing a P&L, advocacy, marketing, sales and e-commerce, actuarial and risk engineering, capital markets, as well as exposure to federated national organizations are all valuable assets for the CCG Board.
Substantive board experience and an understanding of good governance and effective board cultures, as well as Chair, Vice Chair, and Committee Chair leadership experience are also highly valuable assets.
