Job Description : Role Summary :
Role Summary :
In this role you will work across Enterprise Data Management Office Pillars and Data Domains to help define, implement and enforce Metadata Standards of Care, data management policies and procedures.
Using previous experience working in Financial Services, governance and metadata management tools you will ensure the Client Data Catalog is of high quality and accuracy.
The role needs strong analytical skills, ability to anticipate issues, verify the enhancements, and trouble shoot production issues and must be able to problem solve and work independently.
Must be adept at making data useful and digestible by all parties involved. Strong Python, SQL scripting and analysis skills are required.
Experience with Snowflake, Databricks would be helpful.
Major Responsibilities :
Work with domain pillar and business users to ensure governance standards of care are met
Anticipate user needs and propose solutions and alternatives
Understand functional and non-functional requirements
Work with development teams in building and testing Metadata Management Capabilities and solutions
Maintain active communication channels with all stakeholders on deliverables and report statuses
Track all outstanding issues and manage them from initiation to production deployment
Ability to multitask and work with multiple teams
Manage enhancement requests and production issues. Able to prioritize and allocate resources effectively
Quality control of, SQL, Snowflake Data
Standardize data as needed
Skills :
Working knowledge of the financial industry is required
previous experience working in a Sell Side bank is required
Demonstrable proficiency with Python and SQL Server and data mining skills
Experience with Snowflake, Databricks helpful
Experience with Metadata management tools; Data Catalog, Data Dictionaries and Glossaries required
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
Excellent with MS Office tools (Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Working knowledge of JIRA and familiarity with Agile methodology
