Reporting to the Corporate Director of Finance, the Divisional Controller will provide leadership to the accounting team in responsible for the day-to-day finance activities, business partnering and monthly, quarterly and annual statutory reporting. You will regulate corporate funds and accounts, approve expenditures.
Responsibilities
- Prepares Monthly Divisional financial statements, cashflow and annual Budget.
- Prepares Monthly Variance Analysis, month, year to date and versus budget.
- Prepare all tax and financial regulatory compliance including the preparation and submission of information to statutory authorities.
- Complies with federal, state provincial, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Oversee Payroll, VAT, other taxes compliance and reporting.
- Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Maintains financial security by ensuring internal controls are well known and adhered to.
- Assesses and recommends cost reduction strategies and drives initiatives to promote efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents and ensures they are in compliance with contractual agreements.
Qualifications
