Full-Time Live-Out Nanny – Kamloops Helping Hands Nanny and Au Pair Services http://....com Helping Hands Nanny and Au Pair Services is seeking a passionate, reliable, and experienced childcare professional to join our network. We connect families with qualified caregivers and provide a safe, supportive platform for both providers and families. We are currently recruiting on behalf of a loving family in Kamloops for a full-time, live-out nanny. ________________________________________ About the Family & Child This role is focused on caring for a happy, curious, and very active one-year-old girl who is full of personality and loves to explore the world around her. She thrives with hands-on engagement, outdoor time, and playful interaction. The family is seeking a nanny who genuinely enjoys this stage of development and can match his energy, curiosity, and sense of adventure. The ideal candidate is someone who finds joy in getting on the floor, reading the same book five times in a row, and celebrating tiny milestones like they’re Olympic wins. ________________________________________ Position Summary As a nanny, you will provide attentive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care in the family’s home, creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. This position is ideal for someone who is warm, emotionally attuned, and enthusiastic about working with infants and young toddlers. In addition to childcare, the successful candidate will assist with light housekeeping, dishes, child’s laundry, and pet care related to the household. Some driving may be required. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Provide high-quality, personalized childcare for a one-year-old • Engage in active, age-appropriate play, learning, and exploration • Spend time outdoors daily (weather permitting) • Support daily routines including meals, naps, and hygiene • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment • Communicate regularly with parents regarding routines, milestones, and updates • Assist with light housekeeping, dishes and child’s laundry • Drive with the child when required • Provide light pet care ________________________________________ The Ideal Candidate Is • Warm, nurturing, and genuinely loves children • Patient, emotionally attuned, and responsive • Active, playful, and comfortable spending lots of time outdoors • Creative with age-appropriate play and learning activities • Safety-conscious, reliable, and organized • Comfortable with floor play, repetition, and infant-led exploration • Receptive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement ________________________________________ Qualifications • At least 18 years of age • Current Standard Childcare First Aid with CPR Level B or C • Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening • Proven experience caring for infants or young children • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required • Private nanny experience considered an asset • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Able to provide recent childcare-related references • Ability to swim and supervise a child when swimming ________________________________________ Hours of Work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
