The Regional Manager directly supports the Director Mobile Banking Sales in effectively managing a sales force within the network as well as functionally and operationally executing the development of strategies, objectives and business plans.

The Regional Manager coaches and mentors his / her team, leading by example and embracing Coast's business model, the Distributive Network Model.

He / she works with his / her team to create a learning environment where the team is focused on the member's financial well-being through providing a high standard of service while achieving sales, growth and profitability in all business areas.

What you'll get to do :

  • Change Management Demonstrates commitment by actively supporting and participating in new corporate initiatives and inspiring the Mobile Banking team to do the same.
  • Distribute Opportunity Fulfills and distributes initiatives to achieve targeted member sales, member satisfaction and overall growth objectives.
  • Explore and Capture Needs Demonstrates understanding of the competitive landscape, industry trends, products and activities in the trade area, nationally and internationally.

Applies business and industry understanding to strategically leverage the key role CCS plays in this competitive landscape to further CCS's' share of wallet.

Actively shares knowledge, keeping the team up to date and informed.

  • Ensures that roles and accountabilities are defined and understood by the Mobile Banking Specialist team and that these accountabilities, approved by GRM, are communicated to key partners.
  • Provides community leadership as part of the Regional Manager role wherever possible including industry associations, not for profit organizations and / or educational institutions.
  • Works with key metrics to monitor performance and proactively develop consistent and standardized accountabilities to maximize opportunities and minimize risk within the Mobile Mortgage Team.
  • Demonstrates sound knowledge of CCS' operating and capital requirements and how CCS derives income. Ensures that direct reports are coached to become equally aware and are able to articulate knowledge to staff in meaningful ways.
  • Responsible for performance management including performance evaluations, goal setting, career counseling, training, development, recruiting, creating a recruiting pipeline - both internally and externally, transfers, ensuring each reporting MBS has an individual business plan to build his or her network in obtaining new business into CCS.
  • Demonstrates active and engaged sales coaching to sustain sales growth, effective business practices, and professional behaviors to meet and exceed member expectations and business objectives.
  • Works effectively with peers, Managers, Member Services, and internal support partners (Director, Strategic Wealth Initiatives & Partnerships) to facilitate a consistent and collaborative customer and advisor experience and achieve financial objectives.
  • Identifies learning and skill building opportunities to strengthen the knowledge, skills and abilities of the MBS team and works collaboratively with others to develop training materials to address learning opportunities.
  • Effectively manages controllable expenses.
  • Operations Effectively manages capacity and distribution to meet customer fulfillment. Effectively manages controllable expenses.
  • This individual is responsible for directing sales targets and priorities and overseeing the activities to achieve these priorities.
  • Manage retail loan production growth and the quality of assets being booked.
  • Represents the organization in events throughout the communities in order to build networks for business development opportunities.
  • Drives the team to achieve competitive performance in service and / or products.
  • Risk Management Works in partnership with GRM to ensure compliance with the established policies, practices and procedures, developed with and approved by GRM.
  • Ensures the Mobile Banking Team understand, appreciate, and execute to the standards established by our corporate Risk Appetite.

Ensure the team forms the "front line" of our integrated group risk management team and adhere to, and faithfully serve, production standards that are consistent with our corporate risk philosophy.

  • Sales and Service Responsible for structuring Mortgages and beinig the subject matter expert. This includes but not limited to Progressive Mortgages, Equity Lending and Referrals to Small Business.
  • Assist MBS's with structuring of Mortgages and working in conjunction with Retail Credit, at all time ensuring the members financial well being.
  • Adheres to requirements of Mortgage Policies and Procedures and Retail Loans Manual, joint appointment bookings with Branch RM's, outbound calling routines and initiative, Life insurance needs analysis.
  • MBS team responsible for bringing in new Mortgage business, Investments, Life Insurance Referrals, CRI and Visa. The Regional Manager, Mobile Banking Sales works in collaboration with the VP, Alternate Channels in setting targets in all areas, that contribute to the organizations overall goals in contributing to the revenue streams that these targets provide.
  • Strategic Thinking Works collaboratively with the VP, Alternate Channels to execute the strategy to grow the overall business (Investments, Life Insurance Referrals, CRI and Visa).
  • Works in partnership with Retail Banking, Contact Centre and Lending Centre to fully integrate the Mobile Mortgage Team into the Retail Distribution Network.
  • Works in partnership with other Business Lines, to drive cross-sell opportunities.

Who are we Looking for?

  • Minimum 10+ Years of Job Related Experience Minimum of ten years successful sales related experience in progressively senior positions within the financial industry.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years managing and mentoring staff in a team environment.
  • Minimum 10 years of Lending experience.
  • A broader knowledge of complex lending deals, including but not limited to Progressive, Equity deals, etc.
  • Minimum of either a Bachelor's Degree in Business / Commerce or other relevant professional designation such as MBA or Accounting Designation.

Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
