Wesbell is seeking an Ontario Technical Services Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing a regional team of technicians and electricians, ensuring technical policies and procedures are followed, and completing jobs with a high level of quality and safety.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the day‑to‑day operational management of your assigned project and technicians.
Schedule your team of technicians to fulfill client workload, dealing with multiple schedule changes.
Complete all jobs / projects within the allocated budgets which will come from PMO or sales. If the job / project cannot be completed within the allocated budgeted hours, it is the responsibility of the Technical Services Manager to flag the job and report in detail to sales why the job / project cannot be completed to the assigned budget.
Reporting change management to the PMO in real time using the provided tools, including all labour, material details, and third‑party costs.
Ensure completion of all close‑out documentation is provided to the PM group for invoicing in a prompt and timely fashion.
Deal with and resolve site issues in a timely manner.
Approve technician hours on a weekly basis and ensure they are accurate and allocated to the correct project.
Meet customer completion dates that are set between PMO and the customer.
Ensure all technicians are familiar with customer quality documents, processes, and protocols.
Work with the Compliance Officer to ensure jobs are completed to the outlined customer standards while complying with Health and Safety.
Ensure technicians provide daily status reports showing progress / material issues / site issues / engagement issues and overall milestones to meet completion dates.
Provide precise and clear direction when assigning technicians to a specific task or job function.
Deliver outstanding commitment to customer service.
Meet with clients and develop relationships.
Coach and motivate teams successfully.
Ensure proper communication and flow of information related to each project.
Visit technicians in the field on a regular basis to provide training, coaching, and conduct audits on quality and safety.
Education (Theoretical Training)
Post‑secondary degree or diploma in a related technical field.
Job Requirements & Experience
Strong commitment to health and safety of employees and safe work practices.
A minimum of 2 years prior supervisory / managerial experience.
PC literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driver abstract.
Must be fluent in English, both written and oral.
Strong communication skills.
Able to effectively manage and motivate all personality types.
May be required to travel and work overnight as the project requires.
May be required to work weekends.
May be required to use personal credit card for hotel or other purchases.

$90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year.
