What The Job Involves
Architect and define next‑generation System on Chip Architectures, starting with the definition of product requirements from application assumptions, stakeholder requirements and system architecture proposalsCollaborate within a team to design novel architectural features and define relevant studies to evaluate impacts on cost, performance, power and software usabilityCollaborate with IP providers to successfully implement third‑party IP and support any development custom silicon designs from micro‑architecture to design and design qualificationSupport delivery of RTL design and its flow to GDS, working closely with physical design, DFT, and verification expertsCollaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams (e.g. software, CPU, verification, R&D, security, etc.) to optimize your designsContribute to roadmap planning, design reviews, and silicon bring‑upWrite detailed technical documentation; reviews technical documentation for peers and other engineers.This is a Hybrid role, with a mixture of working from SECQAI’s office in London or Bristol, and at homeWe know how important it is to build in a customer‑centric way, so you may be asked to travel to meet SECQAI’s customers and partners in personMaintaining the highest standards of integrity : you’ll protect SECQAI’s operations and that of our clients by maintaining confidentiality at all timesRequired
Who you are
You have a B.Eng. / B.Sc., M.Eng. / M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience)You have 5+ years of relevant SoC architecture and design and / or implementation in advanced technology nodesYou have an up‑to‑date knowledge of industry‑standard design tools from leading providers (e.g. Cadence, Synopsys, OpenRoad)You have experience with multi‑core subsystems, interconnects, and memory hierarchiesYou’re inquisitive and a self‑starter. You love learning, solving problems outside of your comfort zone, starting new things and taking them through to production, all the while learning from your mistakesYou enjoy collaborating with and supporting a wide range of peers and mentorsYou set a high bar for your own work (both how it works, and how it looks)Desirable
You have experience working with RISC‑V & CHERI ISAsYou have taken a design from conceptualisation through to tape‑outYou’re interested in building secure systems and platforms, and have knowledge of relevant security standardsJust so you know, if you don’t think you fit all the criteria, but you have what it takes to make an impact as a SoC Architect / Design Engineer at SECQAI, we’d love to have a chat – you might be a great fit.
