My client is a leading boutique medical affairs agency specializing in delivering strategic insights and innovative solutions for the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

Position Overview : Client is seeking a highly strategic and experienced Vice President of Client Services to lead their client-facing teams and drive the overall client experience.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in overseeing teams, managing complex client relationships, and delivering high-impact solutions in the medical affairs space.

This role requires a self-starter with exceptional leadership skills and the ability to work independently while maintaining a strategic vision for client success.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute comprehensive client service strategies that align with both client objectives and agency goals.

Drive strategic initiatives to enhance client satisfaction and business growth.

  • Team Oversight : Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of client services professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-energy environment that encourages professional development and excellence.
  • Client Relationship Management : Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, serving as a trusted advisor and point of contact for complex and sensitive matters.

Address client needs proactively and ensure the delivery of superior service.

Operational Excellence : Oversee the execution of client projects and ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.

Implement and refine processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Business Development : Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts. Work closely with the leadership team to drive growth and expansion of services.
  • Market Insight : Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics. Utilize this knowledge to provide strategic recommendations and position the agency as a thought leader in medical affairs.
  • Independent Execution : Exhibit strong autonomy in decision-making and problem-solving. Demonstrate the ability to work independently while aligning with overall agency objectives and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 12 - 15+ years of experience in client services, with a significant portion in a leadership role within the medical affairs or healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and overseeing complex client engagements with a strategic mindset.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity for independent decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
