Our Medical Lab Technologists provide accurate and timely interpretive and diagnostic specimen testing and reporting. Through accuracy, quality, efficiency and expediting test results, you will contribute to patient well-being and the achievement of better health outcomes. LifeLabs facilities are also known as teaching laboratories and offer opportunities to share knowledge in a collaborative environment. You will have 24-hour medical support through our Medical Science team and Medical Library, and the ability to teach our college and university student placements.

Status : Temporary Full Time

Shift : Monday to Friday, 7 : 00am-3 : 00pm with occasional weekends as operationally required

Discipline : Mid Low Chemistry Additional Requirements : 1) The successful candidate must be familiar and comfortable with APX and IntRlab systems. 2) Must have proven ability to multi-task and troubleshoot 3) Must demonstrate a good understanding of Quality Control and Quality Assurance and be able to apply this knowledge at the right time to ensure good quality results. 4) Must be comfortable with Levi-Jennings graphs and have the ability to interpret QC and act accordingly. 5) Minimum 1 year of Chemistry experience required

Your responsibilities will include :

• Conducting a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing.
• Prepare and process samples, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
• Performing, interpreting and releasing results, while ensuring the confidentiality of patient information.
• Identifying incidents and non-conformities, participating in the development of effective corrective action plans, escalating as appropriate and driving continuous improvement.
• Assisting with the evaluation and implementation of new technology.
• Participating in problem solving in work organization and workflow.
• Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
