Job Summary

We are seeking a Building Life Safety Plans Examiner tojoin the Loss Prevention organization (LP) which is the corporatesafety organization within the company.

We provide both daytodayinfield occupational and process safety support to This Companyoperations as well as centralized technical support and consultingfunction.

Our field offices are located in Abqaiq Riyadh Ras TanuraDhahran Udhailiyah Jeddah (including Yanbu and Jazan) and Tanajib.

Through these offices LP provides its services to all This Companyfacilities and departments that are located throughout the Kingdom.

The Building Life Safety Plans Examiners (Loss Prevention Engineer)primary role is to work with planning design and constructionorganizations to ensure buildings and safety systems areconstructed according to the International Code Council (IC) modelcode regulations as adopted and modified by This Company and theKingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities :

• Support This Company departments andorganizations to implement required fire and life safetyregulations.
• Conduct field inspections of newbuildings under construction and existing buildingconditions.
• Provide clear reportscommunicating safety concerns and develop practical andcosteffective corrective actions.
• Participatein various safety studies / activities such as fire tests incidentinvestigations compliance reviews or insurance surveys includingevaluation of risks and potential consequences.
• Develop and / or review corporate safety standardsinstructions and procedures related to safe building operations andformalize them into companydocumented practices asrequired.
• Review designs for new buildingconstruction additions alterations or changes of occupancy forcompliance with ICC company and industry safety standards such asNFPA ASME ASTM ANSI and UL.
• Participate inincident investigations as required and prepare safety improvementrecommendations.

Requirements :

• This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
• Hold a Bachelor ofScience degree in any engineering (or architectural) disciplinerelated to building and fire safety.
• 10 yearsof relevant plan review and inspection experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in various areas including :
• Plan review of building and fire safetyaccessibility mechanical electrical and fire protection and alarmplans calculations and specifications.
• Conducting required field inspections of rough final andspecial construction.
• Evaluating materials forcompliance to ICC requirements.
• Strong communication skills in English both verbal andwritten.
• Ability to effectively communicatewith peers and management.
• Proficiency inproducing clear and concise oral and written reports inEnglish.
