Tru Earth is looking for a Machine Operator to join our Ontario team!
We are looking for someone who will be accountable to set up, maintain, and operate machinery. They will ensure the machinery runs smoothly, works at capacity without issues, and is appropriately maintained on schedule.
This person will report directly into the Operations Manager. The Machine Operator’s duties and tasks dictate the safety and efficiency of everyone around them, they must remain focused and diligent in performing their task correctly and with care.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
- Feed raw material semi-automated Feeders.
- Test operation of machines periodically.
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
- Product Inspection to establish any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
- Maintain activity logs.
- Conduct prescribed Preventative maintenance.
- Maintain the equipment so it operates safely.
- Reporting Safety Hazards within the work environment.
- Have good comprehension, participate, assist and follow all safety programs and policies within the manufacturing location.
- Conduct frequent visual inspection of finish goods and record quality checks.
- Clean machine and all related components.
- Troubleshoots equipment.
- Use of ERP System to make proper work orders materials consumptions.
- Participating in maintenance activities.
- All other duties assigned by team lead / supervisor.
Education and Experience
- Proven Experience as a Packaging Machine Operator.
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed friction feeders.
- High school Diploma or equivalent; technical degree an asset.

- Passionate about the environment and sustainable living.
- Full grasp of Production Procedures.
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., Constant use of protective gear).
- Critical thinking skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong Teamwork and Communication skills.
- Physical Stamina and strength ability to lift 50lbs repetitively.
