About the location :

The Assistant Landscaping Manager will provide supervision and direction for all landscaping functions at both Four Seasons Resort Lanai andSensei Lanai, A Four Seasons Resort.

Reporting to the Grounds and Landscaping Manager, the Assistant Landscaping Manager will be passionate about fostering the healthful care and culture of all plants, flowers and grounds / lawns throughout both resortsand will work closely with the Florist to ensure interior plants and flowers are also maintained.

The successful Assistant Landscaping Manager will have three-to-five years of successful landscaping leadership experience in a similar large-scale resort area plus significant understanding of horticulture challenges on an island terrain.

They will also be a highly energetic, enthusiastic, strong communicator, and excellent leader who is aware of the complexities of team dynamics and cultural awareness.

Experience working in a union environment preferred but not required.

General Duties :

Provides leadership, direction and management for the landscaping team

Plans, schedules, assigns and supervises the landscaping, seeding, weeding, cultivating and general maintenance of the grounds

Plans and supervises the cultivation, pruning, spraying and transplanting of a large variety of shrubs and trees

Prepares working sketches for the development, improvement or expansion of landscaped areas

Insures that all necessary equipment and tools have been procured and are maintained in high quality working order

Completes purchase orders and distributes materials and equipment for landscaping maintenance work

Plans and supervises the operations of green houses

Understands the basic operations of lawn maintenance equipment and tools

Creates department budget and manages profit / loss

Works closely with the Resort Manager, Director of Rooms and Director of Food & Beverage to communicate priorities and enhance the guest experience

Candidates must have valid work authorization for the U.S.
