What We're Looking For
We're seeking an operationally strong, people-first leader with a passion for delivering great guest experiences and supporting others to succeed. The ideal candidate has:

• At least 1-2 years of recent leadership experience, ideally in hospitality or food & beverage
• Strong ability to lead shifts and support restaurant operations day-to-day
• Experience supervising and coaching teams of 10+ people
• A working knowledge of labour, food costs, and productivity measures
• Solid computer literacy with experience using scheduling or inventory systems
• A proactive, solution-oriented approach - someone who gets things done
• Confidence in giving feedback, celebrating wins, and addressing issues with professionalism
• A strong guest service mindset and commitment to consistency and quality
• A valid Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent) preferred
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays

Your Role as Assistant General Manager
As an Assistant General Manager, you're the right hand to the Restaurant Manager - a key operational leader who helps build strong teams, run great shifts, and deliver on restaurant goals.
You'll lead by example, uphold McDonald's standards, and coach your team to deliver a clean, safe, and welcoming experience for every guest. You're a culture carrier - helping create an environment where people feel valued, supported, and proud to work.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Support

• Lead shifts and support day-to-day restaurant operations
• Model respectful leadership and reinforce a positive, inclusive team culture
• Support Department Managers and Team Leaders with coaching and development
• Celebrate wins, recognize high performers, and help address performance concerns

Operational Execution

• Maintain Critical Standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC)
• Monitor labour, food waste, and other key metrics to drive efficiency
• Ensure compliance with food safety, cleanliness, and health & safety guidelines
• Proactively identify operational gaps and help implement solutions

Communication & Collaboration

• Maintain strong communication across the leadership team
• Partner with your GM to align on goals and priorities
• Participate in weekly leadership huddles and one-on-one coaching sessions

Leading by Example

• Be a visible leader - on the floor, in the kitchen, and supporting the front counter
• Create memorable guest experiences by being present and engaged
• Build trust with your team by doing what you say you'll do
