Job Description
- Leadership and Team Management : Lead and mentor the lighting team, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback from the Tech Art Director and Art Director to the team.
- Demonstrate strong emotional intelligence skills to manage and support team members effectively.
- Technical Expertise : Possess a solid understanding of Unreal Engine 5, with in-depth knowledge of Lumen and Nanite functionalities.
- Ability to adapt to custom pipelines and devise solutions tailored to specific technical requirements.
- Comprehend the interdependencies between Environment, VFX, and Lighting to identify and mitigate potential performance issues.
- Performance Testing and Optimization : Conduct performance testing for lighting, including interpreting PIX charts, RenderDoc, and UE GPU profiler.
- Determine actionable next steps to optimize lighting performance without compromising visual quality.
- Artistic Excellence : Proficiency in lighting a grey box and making technical and artistic decisions that align with Art Direction.
- Clear understanding of PBR techniques and guidelines, with the ability to adapt to custom PBR rules, understanding deviations from traditional PBR pipelines.
- AAA Game Development : Experience working in a AAA game studio, with a clear understanding of proper source control practices (Perforce experience preferred).

- Proven experience as a Senior Lighting Artist in a AAA game development environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
- Expert knowledge of Unreal Engine 5, particularly Lumen and Nanite.
- Deep understanding of performance testing tools and techniques.
- Proficiency in PBR techniques and guidelines.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and adaptability to custom pipelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Perforce or similar source control systems.
