Our client, a well-established menswear brand recognized for its refined aesthetic, high-quality craftsmanship, and modern approach to classic apparel, is looking for a Senior Technical Designer. Operating from its headquarters in Saint-Laurent, the company oversees the full product lifecycle, from design and development to production, working closely with global manufacturing partners.
As the senior technical designer, you will be playing a key role in ensuring the fit, construction, and quality of menswear products meet brand standards and customer expectations. This position bridges design and production by translating creative concepts into technically sound, production-ready garments. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership experience, and a deep understanding of men's apparel.
Responsibilities :
- Contribute to the technical design process for men's apparel from concept through production
- Create and maintain detailed technical packages, including measurements, construction details, grading, and specifications
- Conduct fit sessions, providing clear, actionable feedback to internal teams and overseas vendors
- Collaborate closely with design, product development, and production teams to ensure design intent, fit, and quality are maintained
- Review and approve samples
- Resolve fit, construction, and quality issues efficiently while maintaining production timelines
- Ensure consistency across styles and categories through standardized fit and construction practices
- Mentor and support junior technical designers, contributing to team development and best practices
- Stay current on menswear trends, fabrics, and construction techniques
