ENGINEERING DIRECTOR

Working location : Trois Rivieres, Quebec, Canada

Overview

ANDRITZ BONETTI CANADA inc is looking for a Director of Engineering responsible for leading and executing the product development, calculations, and respect of the budget according to the equipment sold.

Responsibilities

Partner with other department leaders and management executives to drive and improve product development.

Lead, mentor and supervise Draftsman-Designers in the development of the project until customer approval.

Analyze strategic projects and prioritize accordingly.

Produce general arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings and material lists for approval and fabrication.

Design tasks (protocol, calculation, compliance with manufacturing standards).

Establish material list for equipment fabrication.

Perform some design calculations.

Perform dimensional surveys of existing equipment at the customer's site on an occasional basis.

Follow health and safety guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications

Education : Engineering degree in mechanical or drafting discipline.

Experience : 5 years experience in development of products.

Ability to effectively communicate and lead a team.

Ability to organize and prioritize work.

Possessing a good work attitude.

Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and presentation skills. A team-based approach to results is required.

Proficiency in SolidWorks software.

ERP experience is an advantage.

Must have strong attention to details.

Good planning and organizational skills.
