Position
SAP Engagement Director
Responsibilities
Oversee projects within an industry vertical for a specified set of customers.
Work closely with the Vice President Delivery and the sales team to provide delivery expertise for estimating project timelines and budgets.
Identify Syntax resources and manage those resources in preparation of RFP responses.
Follow up with clients on a regular basis to ensure customer satisfaction and provide project management expertise when required.
Accompany Account Executives on sales calls to understand scope of projects to be quoted.
Assist AEs in ongoing client management.
Serve as first point of escalation for any issues that cannot be resolved by a project team.
Work closely with the Director of Project Management Office, solution architects and competency leads to determine resource availability.
Provide team coaching, evaluate team performance, and reinforce Syntax’s values through actions and communication.
Desired Skills And Qualifications
10+ years in Project Management within the SAP world; consulting considered a huge asset.
Completion of 3 or more full life cycle project implementations.
5+ years of client management experience.
Hands‑on functional experience in one of the SAP modules.
Experience within Retail and Digital Manufacturing highly preferred.
SAP Public Cloud Methodology Experience including the use of CALM.
Delivery
Participate in the sales qualifying process for new projects.
Identify a team of Syntax resources and ensure their availability to assist in responding to RFPs.
Manage the team in the process of responding to RFPs, ensuring all timelines for response are met.
Participate in the preparation and presentation of sales material for potential new projects.
Actively participate in Steering Committee and project team meetings as required.
Manage relationship with client stakeholders to manage expectations for the solution to be delivered.
Provide guidance to Syntax project manager and project team in resolving issues and escalations.
Proactively manage client stakeholder satisfaction to secure customer references and success stories.
Experience as a functional consultant an asset.
Experience as a project manager an asset.
Education
Degree required; MBA preferred; PMP an asset.
