Transport Trailer Technician

We specialize in general repairs and maintenance, welding, body work, parts and trailer sales. We are currently seeking a Transport Trailer Technician to become an integral part of our team! You will diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul automotive vehicles.

Terms of employment :

• Monday to Friday (8am - 4 : 30pm)
• Permanent
• Full time

Kingpin Trailers fosters a continuous learning environment; as such all candidates must be willing to complete their apprenticeship training to the journeyman level.

As well as obtain a good working knowledge of preventative maintenance as it pertains to Kingpin’s operations.

Requirements

Credentials : Heavy duty trade certification / apprentice

Experience : 3 years plus experience an asset

Specific Skills :

• Diagnose, inspect and repair trailers to detect the extent of malfunctions and faults
• Make adjustments to repair or replace defective parts
• Perform routine tune-ups and maintenance
• Provide labor and time estimates for trailer repairs
• Inspect and test new trailers for necessary adjustments
• Clean, lubricate and repair as instructed by foreman
• Written explanations and associated paperwork
• Deadline and detail-oriented

Additional Skills : May be required to share knowledge, maintain maintenance records, work orders and other documentation as required.

The ability to discuss work with the shop foreman or service controller and adjust to a fast paced environment may also be required.

Additional Requirements : Must provide your own steel toed boots and tools. Some positions may also require you to provide a clean driver’s abstract.
