What we are hiring for :
We are currently hiring a part-time Purchased Supports Worker!
Purchased Support Workers help people with developmental disabilities get involved in their community and learn new skills.
They support people to be more independent, make friends, and feel included. This could include outdoor activities, day trips, connecting with animals, crafting, learning new skills, attending concerts, sports games or local community events, connecting with friends or community groups, volunteering, and more!
What you will need :
- Current, valid "G" or "G2" Ontario Driver's License and must have use of personal vehicle
- Current certification in First Aid / CPR
- Current certification in NVCPI or willing to obtain
- Be willing to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities an asset
Position details :
- $25.03 per hour
- LCDS supports people throughout Lambton County and the work location will vary based on the location of the activities or events
- Use of personal vehicle will be required in most situations, mileage will be reimbursed unless community transportation is available
