The Senior Payroll Administrator is responsible for multiple payroll-related functions ensuring accurate and timely processing and will have the opportunity for continuous growth and development to support the Payroll Manager.

Responsibilities
Process weekly and bi-weekly multi-provincial payroll for employees accurately and timelyManage employee records, resolve inquiries, and process terminationsPrepare ROE’s and issue T2200sResolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries regarding payroll-related mattersPrepare and submit payroll reports to management as requiredEnsure compliance with all employment legislation and regulatory guidelinesSupport the Payroll Manager for full cycle payroll responsibilities in preparation, submission, verification and posting of payrollsComplete calendar end activities, including weekly payroll cash flow projections, month-end general ledger account reconciliations and bank reconciliations, and year-end processes, updating taxable benefits, producing T4 slips and T4 Summaries, reviewing and responding to PIER reportsAdminister filings and payments to external stakeholders including source remittances, benefits, WCB, RRSP, tax levies, garnishmentsRequirements
National Payroll Institute PCP (Payroll Compliance Professional) designation preferred with a goal to attain the National Payroll Institute PLP (Payroll Leadership Professional) designationMinimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administrationFamiliar with federal and provincial employment laws and payroll regulationsAccounting experience with knowledge of accounting principles and practicesIn-depth knowledge and experience in processing full cycle payrollProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookExcellent communications skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departmentsCapable of handling confidential, sensitive and personal informationHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExperience with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate is considered an assetCompany Overview
