MM Analyst – Agricultural Manufacturing

Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Materials Management (MM) Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in sourcing and procuring raw materials, feed ingredients, packaging, and operational supplies necessary for production. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and experience ensuring timely, cost‑effective purchasing in a fast‑paced environment. SAP experience (MM module preferred) is essential. The MM Analyst will collaborate closely with production, inventory, quality assurance, and vendor partners to maintain inventory accuracy and uphold quality and safety standards across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Procurement
- Source, negotiate, and procure raw materials, feed ingredients, additives, packaging, and operational supplies.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships for consistent material availability and competitive pricing.
- Monitor lead times, market trends, and material availability to support production planning.
- Evaluate vendor performance and resolve supply or quality issues promptly.
SAP & Inventory Management
Utilize SAP for purchase order creation, pricing updates, inventory tracking, receiving coordination, and reporting.Manage SAP transactions (MM, PP, WM, QM modules) for purchasing and inventory.Maintain accurate inventory records and implement cycle counts and reconciliation strategies.Set reorder points and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock.Vendor Management
Assess vendor performance in pricing, quality, reliability, and service.Address supply issues or quality concerns promptly.Assist in sourcing alternative suppliers when necessary.Logistics & Coordination
Schedule deliveries to align with production requirements.Verify shipment details, receipts, and invoices against purchase orders.Collaborate with transportation partners and internal logistics teams.Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all materials meet company and regulatory quality and safety standards.Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier documentation.Support audits and compliance reporting as required.Working Conditions
Office-based with regular interaction with production and warehouse areas.Fast‑paced manufacturing environment requiring adaptability.Occasional travel for training or conferences.Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (asset).2-5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in agricultural or feed manufacturing.SAP experience required (MM module preferred).Strong understanding of supply chain principles and inventory management.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.Skills & Competencies
