Nav-CARE Volunteer Coordinator
Essential Qualifications
Diploma in recreation, volunteer management / coordination or other related health care field.
Experience planning, implementing and evaluating volunteer programs and / or special events.
Experience facilitating adult education sessions, interviewing and selecting volunteers would be an asset.
Candidates who have education, training and / or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered.
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability
Candidates should have and may be assessed on :
Strong assessment skills in effective placement of volunteers.
Ability to develop, implement and evaluate volunteer programs.
Excellent interpersonal, conflict management and communication skills.
Ability to supervise and provide leadership for volunteers.
Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
Additional Information
Conditions of Employment : TB screening, RCMP security clearance, WHIMIS 2015 (completed within the last 2 years) food safe (completed within the last 2 years).
Job requirements : Possibility of evening or weekend work, exposure to animals, exposure to secondhand smoke from clients / residents, and exposure to latex products.
