ROLE OVERVIEW

Reporting to the IS&T Solutions Manager, the Teamcenter Administrator is responsible for the Teamcenter PLM system used at BRP.

The position requires extensive functional and technical expertise in Teamcenter, excellent communication skills and business acumen.

You will work closely with clients, architects, functional analysts and the infrastructure team.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO :

  • Design, install, upgrade, and maintain all aspects of a business critical Teamcenter production environment, which encompasses the following areas : Web Tier / Pool Manager, Enterprise Tier, FMS, Teamcenter Security Services, Dispatcher Services, Rich Client, Active Workspace, Teamcenter Integration for CatiaV5 and Solidwork.
  • Actively monitor and continuously improve the production environment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Act as level 2 / 3 Teamcenter expert to troubleshoot and resolve critical and / or systemic production issues.
  • Deploy BMIDE updates and customizations while ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Clearly articulate needs and timelines to other IT staff to get things done in an efficient and autonomous manner.
  • Implement and maintain non-production Teamcenter environments (development, test) with a focus on improving environment spin-up / refresh.
  • Perform Teamcenter upgrades and patch deployments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Directly interface with the BRP user community to understand and address common problems and pain points.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES :

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or similar technical discipline and 3+ years of professional experience with Teamcenter system administration experience;

or 5+ years of professional experience with Teamcenter system administration without a degree.

  • 3+ years professional experience with IT operating systems, networking, and system administration (specifically Windows).
  • Experience with Active Workspace.
  • Experience with Solr Engine.
  • Experience with Jboss / Wildfly.
  • Experience with IIS.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or comparable RDBMS.
  • SQL proficiency.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced and demanding environment while wearing multiple hats.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite, most importantly Jira and Bitbucket.
  • Go getter attitude with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Solid communication abilities both written and verbal.
  • Team player that demonstrates enthusiasm and initiative.
  • Business savvy to anticipates and exceeds business expectations.
  • Forward-thinker looking for breakthrough actions that add value.

  • Meet or exceed financial commitments.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Willing to travel on rare occasions.
  • Willing to work after core business hours and on weekends.
  • Willing to be on-call 24 / 7 to address any business critical issues.
