Position Summary :
Are you skilled in maintaining and repairing industrial machinery? Join our team as a Loom Fixer Trainee ! You'll ensure our looms run smoothly, perform preventive maintenance, and help our crew operate safely and efficiently.
Shift Schedule :
12-hour rotational shifts : 8 am - 8 pm and 8 pm - 8 amWork 36 hours for two weeks and 48 hours the next, averaging 40 hours per weekEssential Duties and Responsibilities :
Read diagrams and schematics to determine work proceduresDiagnose, troubleshoot, and propose corrective actionsMaintain and repair loom parts using hand and power toolsInspect machinery to detect and fix irregularitiesPerform routine maintenance and cleaningAssemble machinery and equipmentConduct warp-outs and style changes as neededCollaborate with supervisors and team members to implement production changes and train new employeesQualifications :
Grade 12 or equivalentVocational training in industrial machinery repair, Industrial Mechanic / Millwright, Welding, Fitting, or textile-specific training in Weaving or machinery repair1+ year experience as a loom fixer or in a similar industrial manufacturing roleStrong electro-mechanical skillsGood mathematical abilityExperience in quality assurance and troubleshootingAbility to work independently and as part of a teamSound judgment and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with Sulzer flat looms is an assetJoin us and be part of a dynamic team where your skills and dedication will be valued.
