Location : GTA West with scheduled travel to additional regional sites
Shift : Afternoon
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate : $45–$52 / hour (flexibility up to $53 / hour for the right candidate)

A well-established industrial operation is creating a new Millwright Team Leader position to support its growing afternoon maintenance shift. This is a hands-on leadership role , responsible for guiding a team of skilled trades while actively participating in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
The successful candidate will act as the senior decision-maker on shift in the absence of the Maintenance Manager and will play a key role in building and stabilizing the afternoon maintenance team over time.

Heavy industrial setting involving large-scale mechanical and hydraulic equipmentEquipment includes balers, shredders, and heavy-duty hydraulic systemsPre-planned travel between multiple facilitiesKey Responsibilities
Lead and support a team of millwrights through hands-on participation and technical guidanceMake operational and safety-related decisions during the afternoon shiftPerform troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, and preventive maintenance on plant and yard equipmentDiagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsFabricate components and complete welding repairs as requiredInstall, commission, and test new equipment and machineryAssign and prioritize work orders for internal staff and external contractorsCoordinate parts, tools, and services to support maintenance activitiesMonitor quality, productivity, and safety compliance of completed workRespond to urgent breakdowns and service calls to minimize downtimePromote a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environmentRequired Qualifications
Valid 433A Industrial Millwright Licence (mandatory)Minimum 5 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in an industrial maintenance environmentStrong hands-on background in mechanical maintenance and repairExperience working with heavy-duty industrial equipment and hydraulic systemsAbility to work autonomously and make sound decisions during off-shift hoursWelding and fabrication skills considered a strong assetPLC exposure or troubleshooting experience considered an assetValid G Driver’s Licence with a clean driving recordOwnership of a personal tool setStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsIdeal Candidate Profile
