About the Opportunity
Our client is a rapidly growing public accounting firm based in Richmond Hill with a strong reputation for delivering high quality assurance, accounting, and advisory services to a diverse and sophisticated client base. Their continued growth has created an opportunity for experienced Senior Associates to join the Assurance team and work closely with Managers and Partners on complex and rewarding engagements.

The Role
As a Senior Associate in Assurance and Accounting, you will be involved in audit and review engagements from planning through completion while also supporting a range of tax compliance work. You will work directly with clients across multiple industries and play an active role in mentoring junior staff.
The position is primarily in office, with the expectation of five days onsite during busy season and the opportunity for limited work from home flexibility following probation.
Key Responsibilities
Execute audit and review engagements from planning through completion
Prepare and review working paper files, financial statements, and related documentation in CaseWare
Prepare corporate, personal, partnership, and trust tax returns including related schedules and filings
Assist with risk assessments, materiality calculations, and engagement planning
Apply professional accounting and assurance standards across client files
Provide guidance and on the job coaching to junior staff members
Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality
Communicate directly with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth engagement delivery
Stay current on accounting standards, assurance requirements, and tax legislation
About You
CPA designation required
Two to three years of Canadian public accounting experience
Strong experience with audit and review engagements
Working knowledge of ASPE, IFRS, and other applicable frameworks
Experience with tax compliance including corporate and personal returns
Proficiency with CaseWare and Microsoft Excel
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range of $75,000 to $100,000 based on experience
