We are seeking a creative and visionary Contract Art Director with experience in merchandising / retail to join our client's team.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for directing product photography to showcase products in visually compelling ways across retail, editorial, and e-commerce platforms.
Additionally, you should have experience creating and directing social content for both paid and organic channels, including TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube.
This is a hybrid role based in Toronto, ON. You will be expected to collaborate both in-office and remotely as needed to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities
- Lead and direct product photography for retail, e-commerce, and editorial campaigns, ensuring visual consistency and brand alignment.
- Collaborate closely with photographers, stylists, and merchandising teams to create high-quality visual content that elevates brand presence across various platforms.
- Develop and execute engaging social media content strategies for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube.
- Oversee the creation of both paid and organic content to maximize engagement and brand awareness.
- Ensure cohesive brand messaging and visual storytelling across all channels, from social to e-commerce.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, including marketing, merchandising, and design, to deliver projects on time and to spec.
Qualifications
- Experience in Merchandising / Retail : You have a strong understanding of retail, and know how to direct product photography in a visually compelling way for a variety of formats, including e-commerce and editorial.
- Social Content Expertise : You’ve managed and created content for social platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube, understanding how to tailor visuals for each channel.
- Proven ability to manage both paid and organic social campaigns, maximizing reach and engagement.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- A strategic thinker who can balance creative vision with business objectives.
