Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager Health Equity, the Project Coordinator will focus on maintaining overall coordination and day to day activities of deliverables related to the Health Equity Strategy/Plan within CAMH. The Project Coordinator will act as a project resource on assigned projects focusing on providing a significant portion of the hands-on coordination, planning, and execution of work packages that is needed as part of a project’s execution. They will also provide administrative support and content expertise for implementation of the plan and facilitate involvement with internal staff, external organizations and stakeholders with CAMH services as needed. The position will operationalize project deliverables and outcomes, communications and outreach, and maintain relationships with the HE committee and the Office of Health Equity. In collaboration with the team, you will ensure content for the plan is relevant and current with respect to health equity, diversity and inclusion practices. The position requires extensive content expertise in the areas of health equity and engagement, as well as experience supporting others in this content area in a health system or point of care setting. You will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable standards and requirements. This position is located at 250 College Street.
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in health science, social work, psychology, health promotion, social or behavioural sciences, combined with a minimum of three (3) years experience in planning and coordination. Previous experience in a health or academic environment is preferred.
You possess demonstrated knowledge and expertise in several of the following areas: inter-professional collaboration, continuing professional development, knowledge transfer, mental health promotion, research and evaluation and knowledge of health equity, as well as diversity and inclusion. Previous experience facilitating meetings, coordinating schedules and writing reports is required. Experience writing minutes and synthesizing notes for knowledge transfer and communication to leadership is required.
You possess advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio and Publisher. Experience conducting surveys and semi-structured interviews, as well as analyzing quantitative and qualitative data is preferred. You are an analytical problem solver with strong attention to detail. You have strong communication skills both verbal and written. You are an independent thinker who requires minimal supervision in accomplishing objectives within targeted timeframes. The ability to work with stakeholders of diverse cultural and social backgrounds and ability to cultivate internal and external relationships is required. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language is an asset.
