Overview
As Team Lead, Developer Experience (DevEx), you will accelerate all software engineering by leading a skilled team focused on optimizing the developer experience, improving velocity and productivity, and strategically adopting Artificial Intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Lead research, implementation, deployment of AI solutions (code assistants, automated testing tools, etc.) to transform developer efficiency and track impact via key metrics.
- Develop, maintain, and support internal tools in collaboration with the Platform team to simplify recurring engineering tasks.
- Oversee management of CI / CD pipelines, ensuring robustness, performance, and continuous improvement of delivery processes.
- Ensure robustness and performance of development, QA, and build environments, including the optimization of underlying infrastructure.
- Design and maintain standardized local development tools and configurations (initialization scripts, Docker images, IDE configurations) for consistent, high‑performance developer environments.
- Work with development teams to identify and resolve friction points, integrating into their sprints.
- Stay abreast of new DevEx technologies and AI trends; foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Supervise, motivate, and support team members; create a positive collaborative work environment.
- Evaluate team performance, identify training and development needs, and participate in recruitment and onboarding.
- Promote transparent communication and effective knowledge sharing; set individual and collective goals aligned with productivity metrics (DORA, SPACE).
- Work with stakeholders to define DevEx objectives and priorities, estimate workloads, and plan activities with the director and technical manager.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks associated with adopting new solutions, and ensure quality and compliance with standards.
- Ensure team efficiency and on‑time project delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.At least 5 years of experience in software engineering or development tools and automation, with 2 years in a leadership or influential role focused on the developer experience.Concrete experience integrating and piloting Artificial Intelligence for software productivity (e.g., Copilot, LLM assistants).Experience in the financial sector (assets) is a plus.Technical Skills
Bilingual in French and English.Expertise in DevOps and SRE : solid understanding of DevOps principles, automation, monitoring, collaboration, and Site Reliability Engineering concepts.Experience managing and optimizing CI / CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).Solid knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles (Terraform, Ansible) for managing dev / QA environments.Significant experience with containerization (Docker) and managing local development environments.Proven experience with AI tools for developer productivity (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code).Proficiency with IT tools : Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence.Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and best practices in development (testing, continuous integration).Experience monitoring and improving productivity and performance metrics (DORA, SPACE).Professional Skills

Salary : CA$120,000 – CA$140,000.
